"Morning"
This photograph was part of a one-man exhibition held at the Camera Club rooms in London on October 8th 1888.
There had been many photographic exhibitions in the past but they consisted of a number of photographers exhibiting one or two pieces of their work. Sutcliffe was the first of several exhibitors in the one-man series — quite a radical concept for that time.
This photograph is from a silver print. The original negative was broken by Sutcliffe and he had to make a copy from the best print available. One of Frank Sutcliffe's earliest photographs.
