Taken on Scotch Head, Whitby. This much plagiarised photograph is probably one of Sutcliffe's best known subjects. The above title was suggested by his friend, Mr. R. E. Pannett.
Sutcliffe once wrote — "'Excitement', Pons asinorum, was a crowd of boys who had collected while I was taking 303. I sent them off to run a race. When they returned, one or two of them were looking over at a boat below, so I sent the rest to make excitement greater."
