To obtain this high view point Sutcliffe would have been at a first floor window of the buildings that then occupied the area directly next to the bridge. This vicinity later became known as ‘Boot’s Corner‘ as Boots the Chemist had their premises here for many years until the whole area was demolished in the 1970's. The large ship among the boats moored at the quay side is a timber vessel from Quebec.
